Revit Element Layer Materials not available in PowerBI?

I'm after either some help or confirmation of the ability to extract materials information like volume/area, etc, like a Materials Takeoff Schedule in Revit. In Power BI, I'm pulling down all parameters possible, and this does not seem possible.

I might be wrong, but I thought this capability was marked as deployed or in development at last year's AU in the session 'Dashboard Your AEC Data'. The capability was possibly named as 'Availability of Compound Structure Data'? I checked the roadmap, and there isn't anything in there, so I assumed it must have been deployed.

Hello @W_Whit ,

Thanks for reaching out to Data Exchange support forum!

Can you please confirm if you are using Data Exchange (either from Revit or from ACC) to Power BI Data Connector workflow? This information will help us to better guide you.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Rakesh Borse

Hi Rakesh,

Thanks for the quick response.

We are using Data Exchange from ACC to Power BI, not directly from Revit.

Cheers!

HI @rakesh.borse

We have tested using the Data Exchange Connector in Revit and created an exchange of the same model. We see the same dataset, and cannot see the materials/compound layers. Any update on this?

Thanks.
