Hazem Adel

Community Manager - Arabic & German

Hello everyone! I am Hazem, and I joined Autodesk as a community manager for the German and Arabic communities in March 2021.

I come from an architecture and urban planning background and before joining Autodesk I worked as a community manager for other communities (online and offline) which got me involvedin social innovation, civic hacking and 'co-living' among other topics.

I love to work with diverse communities as I get chances to learn from every individual in them and I believe I could get inspired by a lot of people in this community.  Otherwise, I love to play football, read and doodles and I have a passion for art and design. However, I am neither an artist nor a designer.

Chris Benner

Industry Community Manager -
Design & Manufacturing

Hello Autodesk Community!
My name is Chris Benner, and I am the Industry Community Manager for Design & Manufacturing.
I come from a background as a mechanical designer and drafter for more than 20 years, using Autodesk products for most of that time. I was inducted into the first class of Autodesk Expert Elites at Autodesk University 2012 and have been active on the Autodesk discussion forums and social media for many years. I have been a speaker at Autodesk University since 2014, including a trip to Moscow that year to speak at AU Russia. I have been active in both the Inventor and Vault Beta programs and have actively worked with those product teams to improve and troubleshoot those programs. My specialities have been Inventor Tube & Pipe, and Vault Professional.

Outside of my CAD work and Community involvement, I am also an amateur photographer and photo artist, and I enjoy reading, music and singing.  My wife and I enjoy traveling, and I also enjoy taking excursions with my grown daughter.  The three of us are big movie fans, especially Star Wars, Harry Potter and anything Marvel…. Yes, we’re all big geeks.

Oliver Briggs

Community Manager - Students & Educators

Hi everyone! I joined the community team in 2021 to help run and manage our Student Group hub, our student community here at Autodesk! This has since evolved into our Students & Educators Community, which helps support all education users if they have issues, and also provide them with insights into industry, and tips for their careers.

Whilst I help manage the community part-time, I work full-time delivering training in Fusion 360, manufacture and design across the UK to schools, universities, industrial partners, and hobbyists. I graduated from Warwick University with a master's in engineering in 2021.

You will often see me out on the water in my free time as I love to sail, kayak, and windsurf!

I am looking forward to talking to you all in and around the community!

Hi Autodesk Community,
I have been with the Autodesk Community Team for 3 years and am the Director of Community Practice. My role focuses on aligning the community with other teams at Autodesk, whilst also managing our projects and programs, in which my team promote and establish best practices globally and provide improved and consistent experiences for our community across all our platforms.

Mark Gunn

Senior Director - Community

Hi Autodesk Community. I lead this wonderful Autodesk Community Team. I've been working in Autodesk for many years in a variety of roles, and this is my latest and most exciting challenge. I was born in England and grew up in Ireland. My first 5 years in Autodesk were in Neuchâtel, Switzerland before moving over to San Rafael in California. I've had operational, program, IT, business process and business architecture roles before finally coming to my true calling, and joining the Community team.

Outside of Autodesk, I'm a geekdad of two adult sons, an avid traveller, amateur photographer, and wildlife lover.

We owe you, our community, an enormous debt of gratitude, that I have seen from behind the scenes for well over a decade now. Like the rest of my team, I’m inspired by the amazing things so many of you do, embarrassed by how difficult we make it sometimes, but passionate about helping you and connecting you to the right expertise. I'm listening intently and developing an understanding of what it is you need. Please don't hesitate to reach out and share your personal point of view at any time.

 Jonathan Hand

Industry Community Manager - AEC
(Architecture & Building)

Hello everyone!

My name is Jonathan, and I am the Industry Community Manager for AEC (Architecture & Building). I’m an Expert Elite Alumni who has been active in the community before this role under the user name múinteoir, which might be why the name looks familiar to some of you. I am excited to take on new responsibilities as a part of the Global Community Team and am thrilled to work with you all and hopefully get to know you better through the Community!

I will be promoting engagement and making sure the community grows and is an excellent place for anyone to ask questions, get answers, or share content. I will also ensure that discussion topics can be found more efficiently; you might see me following up and engaging in discussions so a solution can be found and marked and just keeping the boards updated with information, such as when Office Hours/ Answers Days will be, etc. I want to ensure that all the information you need is readily available to you and that the forums are a great place to come and engage with other community users!

You should know that I have some technical expertise but am probably not nearly as proficient as you are with the products, but I am here to support you all, so feel free to @mention me if needed.

I look forward to helping make the community an excellent place to share, connect, discuss, and get the help needed.

Tarek Khodr

Senior Manager - International
Communities & Operations

Hi everyone!
I joined Autodesk in August 2015 and oversee all International Communities, Community Operations, global Moderation, and the global Admin & Backend function. During my tenure at Autodesk, I always grew Communities, amplified best practices, and nurtured and tried to help Community members. Overall, even before Autodesk, I always focused on digital communication, engagement practices, and community and social media management. One thing you could say about me is that I always was addicted to communities and communication. I joined some communities already during my teenage years. So, being based in Germany, I am happy to be your point of contact when it comes to everything Community during EMEA hours.

Besides this, I like reading literature, romanticism, good fantasy, and Sci-Fi literature, and listening to music a lot, especially rock and metal. Feel free to reach out anytime if you need me.

Before Autodesk, I worked as a Veterinary Technician, and enjoy having my Zoom meetings crashed by my pack of dogs and cats at home.

When I am not at work, you can find me outside hiking, scuba diving (even though California waters are cold!), or reading. I love fostering animals, so I’ll always be willing to share a dog or a cat picture as well.

I can’t wait to engage with you, and help make this community even stronger!

My name is Wendy Lim, I recently joined the Autodesk Community Team as Community Manager (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) for Autodesk.  Some of you may have seen me already in the forum, but for those who may have not, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

Kiyomi Mier

Senior Manager - Community

Hello Autodesk Community!

I joined the company in 2004 and have had a few different manager roles in the customer service and partner support organization at Autodesk.

My new exciting chapter with the Autodesk Community started in 2016.

I hope to help establish a community where the members can connect and help each other, share knowledge, nurture their skills, and develop their careers.  The ultimate desire is to remove the language barrier to make Autodesk Community the most inclusive, accessible, and resourceful place for anyone and everyone to join, participate and engage to achieve new possibilities.

I lived in Virginia, USA, and Singapore and settled in Japan, where I grew up.  I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, and traveling outside of work.  Gardening is the latest hobby.  I never knew the joy of harvesting the home-grown vegetables and berries, thinking about how to cook them, and finally eating them.

I welcome you all to Autodesk Community and looking forward to creating, improving, and providing a better experience and space together for all of us can enjoy and take pride in.  The very first step will start from participating. Be an engaged member today!
