Revit has the ability to setup views.. A typical construction project would contain a foundation plan, and a beam column plan ans so on.. The smart thin is that it is all in the same file or project.
Lets say that you want to present a project off a road and a parking area (very simple example).. I would need to produce, lets fokus on plan production
Excavation, showing datum and earth works
Fill plan showing types of material
Finshed surface, showing asphalt slope, maby hatch for grass and so on
The current civil workflow would require that I setup 3 different .dwg files - making things very complicated.
It would be much easier, and save me alot off headeach, If I was able to hide objects (like surfaces, corridors, lines etc.) in the current view, making 3 views in the same .dwg file where in got the option to show what ever I want to present.
