Seems like with the advances on GPS-like technology we could have automatic layouts of utilities based on horizontal constraints. This would include water pipe at appropriate bends, clearances between sewer / water, minimum or maximum distances from curbs / centerlines, etc. Seems like these could all be defined.
Not sure I actually want this because it could put me out of the job bahaha
