The API functions in SAC are EXTREMELY powerful and helpful.
But troubleshooting an SA that uses them is very complicated. That is because I don't know until runtime what the API values will be.
I'd like to have one additional tab (it should appear next to the Input/Output Parameters tab) called "API Simulation" or something similar. On this tab, I would indicate which API methods/properties I want to evaluate against and I will be able to enter values for them.
I'm currently working on a SA that uses the Baseline.Station property. But at design time, I want to evaluate what this SA will do when this property is 100 vs what it will do at 500.
I currently have to make a decision tree that checks to see if we're in Layout mode or roadway mode. If layout mode, a variable BSta is set to my test value. If roadway mode, BSta is set to Baseline.Station. Then throughout the rest of the SA, I have to use BSta instead of Baseline.Station.
