Did you mean:

Maintain the "Current" Filter Group

Maintain the "Current" Filter Group

It would be nice if when "Loading a Filter Group of your liking" it "Did Not" automatically "delete" the "current Filter Group"...

I know you could "Export" the current "Filter Group" and save it for further ref., but that isn't the same...

I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you please explain? What part of the software, what are you filtering?

Layers. Sorry, about that.

I hate the word "assume"

You might know of a better way, but when I bring in one of my "own" Layer Filter Groups" it deletes the current one.

I was wondering how to keep that from happening.

Hmm, I've never tried that.

Unfortunately, this idea doesn't belong here. It should be on the non-existent AutoCAD Ideas page.

Don't want to waste your time, but could you please explain your last post? Smiley Very Happy

Am I alone on this?

When I bring in a (saved) .lft file to a drawing that already has an associated .lft file, it removes (or deletes) the current Layer Filter Group and replaces it with mine. I was only thinking that it would helpful to have both .lft files remain in the drawing and be able to choose from which one suits ones needs.

@qnologi what I'm saying is this: the layer filters are a feature of regular AutoCAD (I'm pretty sure).

Therefore, any work on improving them is a job for the developers of AutoCAD, not the developers of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

This ideas page communicates ideas to the development team of AutoCAD Civil 3D, not the development team of AutoCAD.

Unfortunately there is no Ideas page for plain AutoCAD. Please add your vote to promote this idea.

Sorry for the confusion @troma

I get your drift and I fully support your idea. Smiley Wink
