The superelevation designation should not need to be decided at design time.  Within SAC, if I want a point to use SE, it wants me to assign the SE to a specific SE designation.   But what if this SA is being used for multiple lanes within the corridor?  The designation should be assigned by the user when they place the SA.   Show More

Hello, I would like to share my idea about subassembly composer. It is nice toll, but still you are so limited by what is there. For example in Dynamo you can write and use your custom nodes, what expand your possibilities and make work easier and faster. In subassembly composer I would like to have possibility to add my own C# custom node which allow me communicate outside composer or do different other stuff. I made a custom lane assembly.  If Delta x value for the lane width is twice the value of the LaneWidth input variable, I want it to show an extra lane line at the appropriate lane width.  It works great in preview.  But when I tried to use it within C3D 2024, it doesn't draw the extra lane line.   For your reference, attached is my custom subassembly (download it, then rename it with a PKT extension instead of zip) as well as a copy of the test dwg file.   Here are two screen shots.  In the first one, you'll see the switch statement that checks to see if the lane width (p2) is equal to 2 or 3 times the value of LaneWidth (it's built to allow for widening from 1 to 2 or 3 lanes).  The preview shows that it created the point.  I did this in preview mode by setting the X offset on P2 to LaneWidth*2.  At run time, this is just set to LaneWidth.  The transition editor within C3D is how I'm widening the lane.   Attached are the files I used for testing.  After downloading them, rename the zip file with a PKT extension instead of zip.     Here's a screenshot of the dwg file.  It created the widened lane but didn't create the extra lane line.  Lane1 is the line that it should create no matter what the width is.  Lane2 should be generated whenever the transition makes the lane width twice the value of the LaneWidth Parameter. I am creating several topsoil sections from several depths. However to create each one I have to create a new surface link from Existing Ground surface. Why not a way to create a surface link (or auxiliary surface link) from another surface link and apply a depth? I mean, in the Surface link component, the property "Surface target" allow choosing a surface or an existing surface link.     Show More

Hi. Currently, the scope to get a Mark Point is FULL to the entire assembly. It will look for the first Mark name in the assembly  according to how we defined the assembly (sort of the subassemblies).   In the following picture, I add 2 string input parameters called (GetMarkNameIzq) and (GetMarkNameDerecha) for the left and right side, so every time I do a mirror in the assembly I don´t have to change the string value if I had a single string input parameter.   Decision component in the picture is "Side=Left".   But another way would be if SAC had a new property for "Get Mark Point". A checkbox called "limit scope until the current subassembly group", so the scope of the Mark name is not for the entire assembly just for a subassembly group (generally a side).   Show More

I would like to add several code links in different scenarios for the same link so instead of creating new links every time to add the new code link in that link I would like that we have the option to select an existing link in a List to add it another code link. Hi. I can't imagine why an auxiliary geometry loop, i.e. with auxiliary links, does not exist as an option. I would suggest to include one in next versions of C3D. Until now the loop geometry can only be applied for normal links (not auxiliary links). The same applies also for offset geometry. It cannot be applied with auxiliary links.    Show More

Right now SC has 3 types of target parameter (offset, elevation, surface). I propose to add 4th type - object. Similar to what we have: ConditionalHorizontal, but this one can be applied in SC flow. When subassembly along corridor finds an object (specific polyline of feature line), 'Decision' block can go with path "object found - true label" and different flowchart.    Show More

One of the coolest options that exists in Civil 3D is this option to place the table of subject areas for each section, and also being able to export the list of subjects. The option to place labels with slope distance or slope is also very cool, but it doesn't exist, or I don't know an option to export these slope values. My suggestion is that in the next versions I could have the option of exporting these slope length values ​​to spreadsheets. Show More
