I have been working on some large projects recently and I feel like Civil 3D desperately needs some quality-of-life improvements.
I really want Civil 3D to help automate some of the tasks involved in the creation of profiles and profile view.
My suggestions:
- Ability to associate a surface with a profile style (existing surface = existing surface profile)
- Ability to batch produce profiles (click surface, click create profile, tick box alignments to add surface as profile.
- Ability to batch produce profile views and create sheets. Similar to the plan production tools to batch producing sheets for long alignments and cross sections, improve and expand this tool so it can do multiple alignments.
