AutoCAD Launcher: Let ME tell it which Acad product to load!

When someone double-clicks a dwg file, Windows runs ACLauncher which then decides which AutoCAD product to run.

I need a way to tell Launcher what to run!  RIght now, it runs the latest installed product and I don't see a way to change that!  I installed AutoCAD TrueView because I've read that it includes a method to export some data that C3D doesn't include and now everytime I double click a dwg, TV starts.

In addition, prior to installing TV, if I double clicked a dwg file, C3D Metric would sometimes start.  I want to specify that C3D Imperial should start.  I only OCASSIONALLY use Metric.

The launcher uses the latest used Autocad product. Just tested, opening Autocad Civil 3d 2019 - closed it, opened a dwg file from a folder, it loads in Autocad Civil 3d 3d 2019. Opening C3D 2023, and now dwg opens with it instead.

Is it ideal? Hell no. Should the Launcher stick to what you tell it too unless toldotherwise? I think so. But now at least you know how to fix your issue without having it be the lastest installation. Is this behavior is different in C3D 2024+, I have no idea but I know it works in 2023

@Simon_Blain:

That would resolve the issue of wanting to start TrueView instead of C3D.  But the more common issue is that even though I ALWAYS start C3D using the Imperial profile, if I double click a dwg file, it starts C3D using the Metric profile (now that I've uninstalled TrueView, it reverted to using C3D).
