Add possibility to include Structure Width in Structure label styles

It is possible to add the Structure Length in a Structure label style, but it isn't possible to add the Structure Width in the Structure Styles. This seems unlogical.

You can add both Inner Structure Width and Inner Structure Length, but not all structures have those properties. So being able to get the labels of both seems logical.

Has this been forgotten?? 🤔

While a structure width parameter is not available directly, it is relatively easy to get the result using an expression:

{Inner Structure Width}+(2*{Wall Thickness})
e.g. of course for inches, also multiply the whole thing by 12, to get:

Hi @TimYarris Thank you for your feedback and workaround.

While I know the concept of working with expressions (the example you gave is indeed an easy example of such), it seems in general not logic to provide the ability to label just one of a (fixed) pair of properties. In that extent, you could ask why AutoCAD provides the 'Radius' property, as well as the 'Diameter' property in the Properties dialog box. That 'expression' is even more simple, but yet standard provided in the Properties palette. 😉

When following common logic, both parameters should be provided in the drop-down list as it is the other half of a ‘pair’ of parameters (length and width always go together in terms of rectangular shapes )

But indeed, in the time being, the expression is the way to label the 'missing' property. 😎

I agree: the parameter should be included. We will keep that under consideration for the future. The suggestion to use an expression was not the solution -- it was simply a workaround to help until we are able to provide the parameter.
