Often times we get .shp data with well or boring data that usually has GIS attribute information (like IDs, Depth, etc.). When we import into Civil 3D via MAPIMPORT, we create Object data (at import) for these GIS attributes. However, sometimes we would like to create COGO points from this GIS information. We like to do this so that we can leverage COGO point labeling, which is much more-friendly (annotative can rotate with views, etc.).
Therefore, I would love to see functionality that will allow Civil 3D users to add the GIS Object Data Table Attributes to a Point User Defined Property Classification. This way we can associate this GIS information quickly to the COGO points and extend our labeling options and even define point groups that can sort/query this extended GIS data more efficiently.
