A command to use a Selection Window to view Polyline total Lengths & Areas

hi, using C3D 2025, is there a command where you can use a selection window to select multiple polylines and view their:

a) total length

b) total area

the "Area-Add-Object" command can take a lot of time to select a large number of separate polylines, and I don't know of a command to get a total polyline length from selecting multiple polylines.

thank you

I've used the totlen.lsp from Solved: Total length for multiple Lines - Autodesk Community for this before. There are also plug-ins available like TotalLength + | Autodesk Civil 3D | Autodesk App Store. Would be nice if Autodesk just included such a command OTB.

I have a lisp routine that adds up polyline lengths. I have another that gives you the area.

thank you both for your replies.  I am hoping Autodesk can add this as a standard feature to the next release.

"Hi Paul. I completely feel your pain. Selecting lines one by one with the native 'Area-Add-Object' takes forever, and dealing with old random LISPs from 10 years ago is just annoying.

I actually got so frustrated with this that I programmed my own tool to handle it. I built a quick command called TTC_POLY-LONG. You can just drag a selection window over as many lines or polylines as you want, and it instantly calculates the total cumulative length for you.

It’s packaged inside the Todo Terreno CAD Suite on the Autodesk App Store. I made sure to include a 1-month free trial so you can just download it and get your takeoffs done today. Hope it speeds things up for you!"

hi TodoTerreno, I appreciate the response and free trial.  I am looking for Autodesk to include in their build.  thank you for your post.
