When I add a raster image using map task pane data connect and then XREF another drawing file as well, any linework that exists in the current drawing I add those to becomes unselectable when the drawing is saved. I can work in the drawing fine up until I save. The only way to fix the issue currently is to close the drawing after saving (which usually results in a fatal error) then once I reopen the drawing I can select any thing and work in the drawing fine again until the drawing is saved.
If I just have a raster image and linework and I save, everything continues to work fine.
If I just have an XREF and linework and I save, everything continues to work fine.
The problem seems to happen only after an XREF is also included with a raster image file in the drawing.
