Hello-

It looks like that portion of your road is in CUT situation, so it is masked by the existing ground surface.  You can edit your existing ground surface style to turn off the gray triangle shading.  Edit this style by clicking on the surface and right clicking and selecting edit surface style.  Then under the Display Tab change the view orientation to "Model" and turn off the Triangles layer.  Now you should be able to see the surface.

Either way, the corridor will export just fine to 3DsMax.  I would recommend using Civil View in Max.

I hope this helps.

There are several steps.  Watch this helpful video of a workflow that has worked for me by @Todd_Rogers.  You may want to mute the soundFX if you don't like EDM 🙂

Good luck!

Hi @Anonymous

I think you will have to create a 2nd copy of the EG surface in C3D and re-export to 3DsMax.  This 2nd EG surface will have to have closed "Hide" boundaries added to this surface definition at each instance where you have CUT (i.e., the corridor is below the EG surface).  This will force the render of the existing ground surface to stop at the corridor daylights in 3DsMax.  I hope this helps.

I tried this but it didn't work as I expected. After I turned off the triangles layer, the ground surface in object viewer just disappear after I orbit it. I think the problem is that the ground surface does not cut. That's why we see only the filled areas. But I could swear that I saw the cut areas earlier today (along with the ground surface). I'm confused now.
