WGS Points

Hi I have points taken from Houston, Texas on the WGS 84 system (not sure which zone). The points have the format shown below. I want to import them into C3D on the right coordinate system to display the map behind them. Can you please tell me how I set the transformation and coordinate system, also what point format should i use when i import them is it DECDEG?

Hi Yara,
"...is it DECDEG?"
Yes, DECDEG. You'll need to create a Point File Format to accept those Lats and Longs.
Keep in mind that your drawing needs to have an assigned coordinate system for C3D to accept those Lats and Longs.

Yara,
To elaborate a bit, your point is in Harris County, Texas, and falls in the Texas South Central state plane zone:
#Latitude,Longitude
29.9386101,-95.5533713
Here's a couple of screen shots. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi, I am getting an error no points were transferred from the source. Please take a look at the files I've attached. I created lat and long point format, I also added the transformation to WGS 84 Zone 15 N, and I also assigned the coordinate system to the drawing as NAD 83 south central texas. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Yara,
Your Longs and Lats are reversed, the Eastings and Northings should be state plane coords, not lat/long coords, and the Coordinate Zone Transform should not be checked.

OK, the fix is to export Eastings and Northings. When you import them back into your drawing use longs and lats.
