Warning: an error occurred during save

I am using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 and everytime I export a model to AutoCAD format I get the message:

"Warning and error occurred during save. We recommend that you run RECOVER on the drawing"

Although it usually finds one fault during Audit or Recover and fixes that, the message still persists in appearing every time I use the export function.

Does anyone have any clue as to why this happens and how I can sort it out?

Thanks

Hi ClaireSpong,

I have seen that message many times before. In almost all occasions it was due to the drawing corruption (as the message suggested). The best way to make it go away is (if RECOVER, AUDIT, PURGE) is to use WBLOCK command to export the linework and import it into a new drawing template.

check - all layers thawed

all layers unlocked

all data (points, surfaces etc) unlocked

cannot export with data shortcuts

cannot export with a civil drawing xref

I have tried to wblock all info to a new drawing, save as, purge and audit and still lose alignment chainages, curve labels and tables, etc.  Would really like a solution to this....

I would like to know also.

A more descriptive error message would help Autodesk ;-|

And 7 years after this question was asked this utterly annoying message is still there. Very sad that some things are never fixed.

Dear autocad: how about fixing stuff instead of inventing all kinds of new buggy commands we don't need?
