Volumes using split regions

I am really new with this so patience please. I have a corridor with split regions. When I built the surface it drew the contours in the places that did not have a region. How can I do volumes without including these areas. I have a ditch down the middle of a split lane street and there are cross overs in the center . I dont want Volume quantities in the cross over areas. How do I accomplish this. Thanks in advance.

Hi-

You can right click on corridor object and select corridor properties.  Then under the Boundary tab you will create several interactive boundaries around your regions.  You will create one for each region...please see below:

The other option is to turn on the corridor surface Triangle layer and edit the Surface by deleting the TIN lines in the Region Gaps.

Dear Friend,

You can have a gap for the sample lines in the unwanted areas when you do the volume calculation.

Thanks so for your input. I did separate regions with the way you told me
but the contours only show in the one I am creating at the time. The cross
sections are also affected where only the area I am making a polygon with
is shown in the cross sections. I was hoping the coutours would show up in
all the different regions.

Hi @Anonymous!

Yes, I realized after my first post that you can only have one "outer" interactive boundary per corridor surface.    

However, please try the method shown below.  You need to create interactive "hide" boundaries around the corridor void regions.  Please see attached.

**EDIT:

Another option is to create closed polylines around each corridor region and then add these to the corridor surface itself in the Prospector\Surface collection.  You will start with one "Outer" Boundary (for first corridor region) and then you will add the remaining corridor region boundaries as "show" boundaries.
