Volumes dashboard shows zero values for cut and fill for volume surface

I have created a number of volume surfaces all of which show zero values for cut and fill. The Net Graph column indicates that cut and fill has been calculated but the columns for cut and fill and area have not been populated. See screen shot of Volumes Dashboard attached.

The Z value for the existing and design surfaces range between +45m to +65m. When the volume surfaces are created they are placed at 0m.

I'm using Civil 3D 2018 and pretty much out of the box styles.....can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

Thanks

Hi Alan-

Is it possible that you could provide a .dwg so we can test on our end?

Alan....if you look at the surface properties of any of those surfaces and go to the statistics tab does it show the information?

Hi Alan-

Change your Drawing Settings to Meters.  It was set to millimeters before, which was causing your volumes to be really skewed.  Please see below:

I hope this helps.

Hi Ian,

No, the Statistics tab doesn't show the information. All volume surfaces show 0 cut, fill and area.

See attached screen shot.

Thanks

I'm having this same problem in one of my design.

The cut and fill volume is empty

Check the boundaries for any bounded volumes.  Even if they are closed polylines, try redrawing boundaries using the BPOLY command.
