Hi, all I want to calculate the volume of my project between two surfaces zone by zone (please see attached image).I know we can calculate the volume of this by using paste surface to new surface and clipping the required area with a boundary line. but in this way, (eg: we have 100’s of zone, then we need to create 100 duplicate surface.) if there is any other way to do it faster please help.
Thanks...

On the Civil 3D 2015 you can use a Volumes Dashboard
First things you have to get a comparison between the two surfaces the base surface is EG and a comparison surface is your surface that have all your zones.
Second thing use the buttom on the following images just click the boundry i.e for Z1 you get the volume between this zone (Z1) and the base surface (EG) and so on for next zones
Dileep,
I haven't used it, but there is a Parcel Volume Report that might automate your calculations.

Convert the zones to parcels and create a volume surface between exsiting and proposed, then use the Parcel volume Report as advised by Dave. I use the Parcel report all the time as it is seem less tedious than using the Dashboard but you may need to reformat the output in Excel.
