Using a GDB in Civil 3d

I have a 10gb GDB that has contours in it. I am able to connect to the gdb from Civil 3D and I can click on Add to Map and it does do it, but I get a message saying the features cannot be cached. So nothing appears on the screen. I can open the attribute table and everything is there. Does anyone have any ideas about this? I can open the GDB in ArcMap and QGis with no problem.

Hi Chris,
10GB? You might just need to wait a bit for it to show up. If QGIS and ArcMap open it, you could clip/crop out your area of interest and then bring it into Civil 3D.

I ended up doing that. I did assume that was probably too big. It is the entire county.
