Trim/Extend not Working Properly after Latest Service Pack Install

I’m having an issue where my trim and extend commands are not working as they did a couple of days ago (before I installed the latest service pack 3). I typically trim/extend by selecting all (double space bar) & removing what I don’t need. Now both commands extend or trim to invisible lines. When others open the same drawing to do the same thing, the results work correctly as expected. The weird thing is when I did a test of a line with a common mid-point and extended all to the next “invisible” line. I then marked where each line ended after each extension, then zoomed out and did it again. This time the end of the line was at different locations. I have never seen this before and I am not sure if it is service pack related.

That was it. I am not sure how that got changed. I didn't really even know about that setting. Thanks!

I am having another issue with that command.  When I select the trim or extend tool, I should be able to hold down the "shift" key to get the opposite effect.  Ex. when using the the extend command, holding down shift while in that command will allow the user to trim.  It does not work for me. Is there any setting that controls this?
