Trim and Extend not work Properly

C3D 2019

extendLately my Trim and Extend commands are not working properly

I can not Trim or Extend poly lines

my system variables are set to the following.

Edgemode is set to 1

Projmode is set to 2

I have verified that the lines are on the same plan so that is not the issue. If I explode the ployline then the command works properly.

Hi @Anonymous ,

It will be easier for us to help if you can share the sample drawing that have the problem. We can only guess / assume on what is wrong with it.

Based on your observation extending polyline won't work but exploding it and extending will work. This looks like your polyline have an extra point or line inside it with zero length. I tried to replicate your problem and use the same system variable you describe but it is trimming and extending as expected. The only way I can see that it will not extend if I am extending a line 1-2 that is connected to 2-3 with zero length and I will need to do overkill to remove the extra point in the polyline for it to extend. Can you check if this is what is happening in your case? If not please share a sample dwg and that will be easier to debug.

See animated gif testing below:

Cheers,

Jowenn
