TOOLSPACE

Can someone please tell me why my Toolspace on the left is only showing me "SURVEY" & "SETTINGS" and not Toolbox and Prospector, I am new to Civil 3D so plesae forgive me for my ignorance.

In the upper left of the ribbon on the Home tab are the buttons for Prospector, Toolbox, Survey, etc.  Click on the ones you want on the toolspace palette.  You can also type them in at the command line.  example type prospector and press enter, survey and press enter

My ribbon is missing those buttons and I can't figure out how to get them back.

Looks like you are using the Drafting and Annotation workspace. Try switching back to the Civil 3D workspace to have those available on the ribbon.
