Hello,
This might be a silly question. I am just trying to figure out how accurate is a tin surface created from 3D solids. What I mean is would C3D by accident create an extra triangle here or there or would an elevation randomly change in some point on the surface?
Say you have 80000 3D faces in a model and you create a tin surface from them. Because there are so many, would C3D make a mistake and the surface became deformed? I need to be absolutely certain that the tin surface will look exactly the same as the 3D faces.
Thanks.

Make sure that "maintain edges from objects" is turned on. This will use the exact triangles.
Extra triangle might be created at the edges or in holes. These can be Boundaried out.
Hope that helps,
