TIN Rotation

A TIN can be moved along Z by Raise/Lower Surface, but is that possiable to rotate it by 3DRotate or other command?

I tried a couple of times but nothing happened!

(The reson I want to do it is because I want to use it as a rock Surface below EG in a simulation!)

A good way would be to LANDXMLOUT your surface, then LANDXMLIN the saved file and go to "Edit LandXML Settings" at the import box.  From there you can translate/rotate.

Accepted solution

While it seems you can "Rotate" a Surface in th X,Y. You can't "3DRotate" a Surface or "Align" a Surface. I think that's because you might end up with coincident points at the same elevation. It could also depend on how the Surface was created. Everything used to create the Surface would have to be rotated also.

What you might have to do is extract the Triangles, Rotate the 3D faces and create a new Surface from the faces.

Export the surface to a solid, then rotate/align the solid.
