Text objects containing "Text Label" appear everywhere in drawing

Every time I save or reopen a base file of mine, text objects appear everywhere in the drawing containing "Text Label". the offending text objects seem to be associated with Mtext and closed and unclosed polyline.  The unwanted "labels" appear in the center of Mtext objects, the centroid of closed polylines, and the vertices of unclosed polylines and are on the same layer and color of the "parent object".  I have around 1500 of these errant objects and the reappear even after deleting and performing an Audit on the file. Anyone know what could be causing this?  I'm working in C3D 2018 (12.0.1275.0)

You may have to either attach the drawing or a portion of the afflicted drawing to get this resolved.

Yeap agree with Bill,

If you can share the drawing, we'll be able to figure out what's causing that.

Thanks,

Type MAPWSPACE to open your Map Workspace. Double check that there aren't errant styles set there as seen here:

If so, you can right click to delete them. If this is the case, quite probably you are the victim of a practical joke.
