Text form fielddata in civil3D

Hello

I am looking for a way to get info texts, which I have collected on terrain, visually visible in civil3D when I import them.
Example of what my .txt file looks like.

Point number, x-coordinate, y-coordinate, z-coordinate,code
5000,100,100,20,242qex

5000=point number
100= x-coordinate
100= y-coordinate
20= z-coordinate
code=242
the text I want to be imported is ex (for me the definition of extend)
q is the letter I wish to use to make it clear to civil that everything below is a text and therefore no longer part of my code.
The q can of course be another symbol if there is already a standard code for this within civil3D.

I would think it is possible but I can't find a way to make it work.

Hi Greg,
Screen shot please of how you want the point displayed. Will the point be labelled with "242" or "ex"?

So this is how my import file looks at the moment.

Raw description 242 is the code for a wall the  is in my template the start of a line the ex is text i wrote on the terrain.

note: the ex displayed in the picture is now written by myself

My question: Is there a possibility that civil places the text ex by itself?

Thanks in advantage for helping me out 🙂

Setup a Desription Key that sets your full description to parameter 2 of the Raw Description.

Hi Tim,
"Setup a Description Key that sets your full description to parameter 2 of the Raw Description."
I don't see any way to call up parameters for full descriptions.

Greg,
One way to do this would be to create a couple of UDP's(User Defined Properties).

You're missing a shortcut. In Description Keys, set the Format for the key and that becomes the Full Description for the COGO Point. In the example, the Full Description is Ex, because Ex is the first input after the second space in the raw description.

Tim,
Boy do I feel stupid. I used to know this. Anyway, yes, that works perfectly.
