Text Error

In working with various styles and commands within AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 we are receiving a text error message that reads, "CANNOT DRAW TEXT". This has had an effect on our style looks and sometimes effect text that is already in the drawing. Not everybody in the office gets the error, but most do. Any suggestion would be helpful.

I have never seen this but I wonder if everyone in
the office has all of the fonts in question installed on their
PC.

I had the same error in 2012 and determined I did not have a path setting to the "fonts" in the Support File Search Path.

I added in the path setting "C:\program files\autodesk\autocad civil 3d 2012\fonts" and it works fine.  I was also getting the same error when I clicked on the "Hatch" button.  This also corrected that as well.
