Target corridor grading to a surface, but to a featureline where present.

I have a corridor with grading to the existing surface with a 'headwall' surface pasted in. I would like to grade to a the top of the headwall as to fill the space between the corridor and the headwall rather than grade at 1:3 to daylight.

 

Any solutions?   TIA

Hi, are you looking to grade to a specific slope between your 3:1 corridor slope and the top of the headwall, or just a general fill in between?

 

If it is a specific slope from head to corridor slope, I would create a new temporary composite surface using your EG and pasting in your corridor surface.  Then create a feature line at the top of your headwall and use the temporary surface as your target with whatever slope/grade is needed.

Hi, I currently have the temporary surface as the target, but the daylight hits the existing portion at the 3:1 grade before the headwall. I need to create cover for the culvert between the corridor and the headwall so need a general fill in this area.

Something like this?  This was done with a 3:1 from the top of the head wall daylighting to the EG & R1 surfaces

Thanks. This is what I had earlier in the day. I think at least for now this will be the answer, possibly with a 6:1 slope at the pinch point. In reality, site will likely just fill it smooth.
