I am having trouble with moving my survey points. I was able to move and rotate my points earlier but now I am unable to move or rotate them. Please help.
Hi @Anonymous Maybe the points are locked. Click on points in prospector and look for the red icon next to the point number. You can also select a point and look on the properties palette information section to see if its locked.
It doesn't show that it is locked. When I use the Move command I click on the point I want to move and when I attempt to move it it look like it flickers when I move the mouse around but when I click where I want it to be placed it does not move.

In the same drawing? If these points are entered with a survey database, perhaps not.
Normal points can be moved if "Allow checked-in points to be Modified" is set to TRUE in:
Prospector --> Settings --> Edit feature Settings - Point

The problem is that they are flagged as SurveyPoint = True. The answer I'm waiting on also. What does a person do when they receive a drawing (only) and don't have a Survey Database.
I honestly have no idea. I'm new to AutoCAD. I've only taken a basic AutoCAD class in college.
Good luck on the new thread, I really hope someone chimes in with an answer. I've spent an hour or so searching and can't find one. The only workaround I can suggest is to export the points, erase them and import the file.
When you have a drawing that has survey points from a database, simply create a survey database and import the points from the drawing. Once there tied together you'll be able to translate and move just as before.
