Surfaces are not displaying in one of my files

Hi,

I am building a surface based on polylines and I take this polylines as a >Definitions>Contours

In one of my files the surface is created even that the some of the polylines cross each other, but when I try to define the same surface with the same polylines in another file it give me a bunch of errors and id does not display anything.

How can display the surface in the second file?

Regards,

Rafael

In the toolspace palette right click on the surface name and select properties and on the definition tab expand the Build category and make sure the allow crossing breaklines is set to yes. Then the option below allows you to select if you use the first, last or average elevation of the crossing lines.

Hi,

I really appreciate your time.  The surface is not showing up anyway.

Maybe contacting you this weekend.

Regards,

Ralph

1. Check the Surface Properties > Statistic tab.. If it is blank your surface is not defined.

2. In the Surface Properties > information tab.. make sure there is an object style applied that is set to display

3. Check the surface style on the display tab and make sure the components are turned on both in the surface style and in the Layer manger.

4. Right click on the surface name in Toolspace and hit Select... This will select the surface, even if there is no definition, and let you know what layer it is on

Would it be possible to share the files you are working on?  there could be something that is different between the two that is causing the process to fail in one file but not the other, that would be easier to see with the files.
