Hi all,
We're having some strange issues when importing points generated from Virtual Surveyor (LiDAR) to create surfaces with. These are "low pass" or bare earth points imported with standard PNEZD format to create our topo's. However, we've run into a couple of wonky problems.
We'll set the Low-Pass points as their own point group, then add that as the initial definition for the surface. As the field crews bring in more data later, we try adding that to the definition as its own point group as well, but often they don't seem to register on the surface. They often won't function with the TIN properly. We end up with some kind of error (yellow exclamation mark) next to the point groups under the definition tab on import, but I'm not sure how to view what the actual error is.
Another anomaly we've encountered on importing the low-pass points is that while all come in as regular COGO points, some have crosshairs on them. Most don't, but we've been trying to figure out why this happens and what (if anything) it signifies, as we didn't change any styles on any of them. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
