Surface in Object Viewer

Hi There,

I use Civil 3D 2019.

When I view any surface in the Object Viewer mode, it initially looks good. However, as soon as I start rotating the surface, some of the areas on the surface smudge and I can't really see the definition of the surface. It doesn't have anything to do with the grade of the contours, because it happens with a flattish surface as well as a surface with heavy grades.

Looking forward to receiving some assistance as to how I can get rid of the smudging.

(I attached a snapshot)

Regards

Christopher

Christopher,

I can't see the smudging in your screen shot. Can you add an arrow to the problem area, or better yet, post a particularly problematic drawing.

Hi Dave,

All of the green parts are the smudging. There should no be any green solid hatching.

I did get to figure it out. I had to edit the surface and switch the boundary off under the plan and the model settings.

Thanks.

Christopher
