Surface Contours not displaying continuously

Hello All,

I am working in Civil 3D 2018.

Some of my contours for both my proposed & existing surface have these little dash marks in them. It is not all of the contours; I have checked layers and they are all set to continuous / dashed for the proposed / existing contours respectively. Is there a setting I can change to remove these dashes?

Thank you for all your help!

Check the surface style(s). There may be a different linetype assigned there other than Bylayer. Look at both major and minor contours. Civil 3D uses styles to control appearance.

right click the surface and select edit surface style. On the Contours tab look at contour depressions and set the display depression contours option to false.

Thank you for your help! I did look at the display settings and they were by layer. I figured that what I needed was in the style settings still so I clicked around and I found what I needed in summary and was able to fix the contours. I had to change the Contour Depressions to False so that the ticks would not show.
