Surface build ignoring some points in point group

Hello Everyone

I am experiencing something I have never seen before in Civil 3d or Land Desktop. I have defined a point group with some points in it (45-50). When I build the surface it is ignoring points 45 and 50 and building the surface on 46-49. I can workaround the issue by adding a breakline to the surface between the points or adding lines manually. It simply refuses to triangulate to those points and I want to know why? Please see the attached file, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good one for the C3D team.

IDK - It looks like there is some angular constraints on the build, even though there are none set in the Surface Properties.

If you play around with the points 45 and/or 50, moving them around, eventually the surface will include them.

Surface construction errors like this are rare, but I've seen them in every version since 2006.  I assume that there's some sort of limitation built into the triangulation engine, probably to prevent it from getting stuck in an infinite search for the best solution to every possible point in the model.

I've reached the conclusion that there is no solution to this dilemma other than to work around it adding feature lines or adding lines to the surface manually. I will remain hopeful in the future that Autodesk will fix this behavior.

I had the same problem. I resolved it by adding the point that it wouldn't accept to a new point group and added to the surface and the surface accepted them. No idea why.
