When displaying a C3D surface by means of the 'objects viewer', I'd like to see the surface only as a shaded surface - no TIN, no contours - but setting the viewer to the 'Shaded' style the result appears very gloomy and ill lit. In particular when tilting the model.
Can the sun/light source somehow be set - both in terms of direction (azimuth) and strength of the light.
Type VISUALSTYLES. Change the Highlight Intensity for the visual style called Shaded.
The surface should look brighter when you enter Object Viewer and set it to Shaded.
Great. It serves the purpose. Thanks a lot.
That said, the model is still quite dark when not seen directly towards nadir. Even when 'highlight intesity' is set to max (100). It seems like the light intensity is changing when the viewing angle is changed (when the model is tilted).
Another related issue is how to set the sun's position. Is it possible to change/fix it - i.e. the time of day/year - for a visual or surface style?
Thanks again
Cheers
Hans
Use SUNPROPERTIES command to adjust sun settings, date, time, intensity....
After changing sun properties, re-apply the Visual Style to the current viewport.
