Subassembly input in inches? - error trapping

I made a half pipe and expect users to input pipe diameter and wall thickness in typical inch values. I have the conversions built into the parameters so if the user enters 48 and 5 the do get a 4' pipe and 5" walls. the confusion is in the properties dialog box show the input shows  as 48' and 5'

Is there a way to control that?

is there a way in sac to make a predefined list (pulldown?

Hi @Joe-Bouza

Subassembly Composer doesn’t have units, so I don’t believe there is way to format the input parameter to read as inches. However if you type 6” in Civil 3D properties palette, it will apply the conversion (I do that all the time with lane pavement thicknesses!)

To create a pull down menu of choices using subassembly composer, you’d need to create an enumeration, define an input parameter to the enumeration type then have a switch in the flow chart

Hope this helps,
