Subassembly help

Hi there, Noob question.

I have a generic subassembly "linkWidthAndSlope" (yellow) and I want to set a profile as an elevation Target (to get the green line). But when i do so, i will get the red line. It will keep the width and alters the slope (depending on the target profile).

I want to keep the slope and alter the widh.

Which generic subassembly do i need to  achive this? Or how I have to change my subassembly or corridor options?

I hope i explained it right. Thank you in advance

Hi,

It won't happen to be the LinkSlopeToElevation ? Unless you care that when the width is greater than the width you set, the slope is not drawn. Then you need a little different.

Jarek

Check your targets. You are most likely targeting the elevation instead of the offset for that subassembly.

The attached subassembly will do what it sounds like you're asking for.  I know of no way to do this with the OOTB subassemblies.  This was created in SAC2024 (can't be used in an older version).  After downloading it, rename it so that it has a pkt extension instead of zip.

EDIT:  I stand corrected.  There is actually a LinkSlopeToElevation that comes with C3D.

My understanding of his request is that he wants to hold a specified slope until the elevation specified by the profile is met.

Exactly, I think that a simple LinkSlopeToElevation will be enough here.

Thanks everyone. The LinkSlopeToElevation did the job. I actually had it in mind but thought the elevation is fixed and cant be override by a target
