Hi,

I have to created a subassembly representing the silhouette of the train ( see image).

So, I have to assegn to it the Cant ( rail superelevation) calcolated for alignment.

I suppose, I have to use cant section of "subassembly composer" . But I didn't understand how it works.

Hello @dar.lombardi!

I believe Francesco can help you out with this topic. He has some videos about rails in Civil 3D that you may be interested (videos in italian): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3bKfYQM6EE.

Subassembly Composer (SAC) is a great tool, I suggest this AU class from Kati Mercier, fantastic content about how to use SAC and its functionalities: https://www.autodesk.com/autodesk-university/class/Analyze-and-Devise-Subassembly-Composer-2017.

About the cant in SAC, I suggest this tutorial from Autodesk, it has one sample pkt file that you may check how the parameters are set: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/civil-3d/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2019/ENU/Civi....

I don't work much with rails, hope these links help you! Regards,
