Hi

I created a sub assembly Packet file , Some issues are mentioned below
1.This section having 4 layers with 2% slope ,After I created Every layer shows different slopes
2 .Measurement of the total paving depth at the end shows 1 cm deference in 60 cm width .My required depth is 41 cm but it shows 40cm , Which i Shown in attached figure .By increasing the slope and width error is increasing
3.First time I created a sub assembly file as per our project requirement ,Anyone can help me to correct this issue Or if anyone have similar Pkt file please share it.
4.I attached pkt file for your reference

hi,

instead of using angle and delty y for defining your layer slope use intersection point(two points and slope) in sac, use P1 and P2 (slope 1 is your layer slope and slope 2 is your bottom link slope) see the picture

i define you two layers, you can test and see if it works for you....

There isn't a pkt file in the attachment. was that the intent? I was very interested in how you used the intersection AP.

I used it successfully in one of my projects to fine the point but then I didn't know how to get the links to extend to it

You just have to rename the *.zip to *.pkt and it will work.

While this is much better, it's not 100% correct (depending on what you want, of course).

When you enter "extrem" values for the slope parameter, you can see it:

With zero% slope, the angle is 45° which is correct:

zeroslope.JPG

With something unrealistic like -75% slope, the angle turns into this:

75slope.JPG

Unfortunately, Autodesk doesn't give any love to the SAC. Tools that would be really good in situations like this (like "offset geometry") aren't dynamic so you have go back to doing a lot of trigonometry.

For example:

In the first pkt that was posted in this thread, P3 was created as an deltaX and deltaY which is not correct.

It has to be adjusted with a trigonometric function to calculate the real value.

Your depth-value is dh while the real distance is dh*.

I don't have a lot of time so I only found a rather messy example I once made.

It's not too clean (and in german) but it maybe stirs you in the right direction.

If there's an easier way, I'd be happy to know!

yeah, you just need to rename extension to .pkt,

there is option to extend slope so i used that to get the link.

I see. I used auxillary intersection. I did not see there is a regular point intersect.

Cool, new stuff. I have 3 days experience (lol)

Thank you for your reply

I think Instead of 100% slope  we can try with 1:1 Slope in parameters .Interpolation is good solution ,My requirement is 45°Angle

you edit codes from code set style and then you import your codes in your style (select your subassemblies), or add them manualy (right click on link, point or shape and add)

code set stylescode set stylesimport codesimport codes
