Structure not appearing on Isometric view and IFC

Hi, A pipe and structure shown on plan, appears ok, but when the view is changed to isometric, the structure disappears. Any clue? I am using AutoCAD civil 3D 2019 and it is the same scenario on Civil 3D 2020 too.

Please see the screen shot and if any one came across and have the solution, it is much appreciated.

Hi @sileshi.tesema

Thank you for posting.

To understand your issue better I would like to ask you for more details:
What type of structure it is? Is it a custom one?

What style for Structure is used? What is set up in the Structure Style -> Model tab? Can you try to set it up as below? Please see:

Is it possible to share with us your sample drawing, so we can try to reproduce your issue?

Thank you,
Wojtek

Hi Wojtek,

Thank you for your response.

The structure is a telecom Chamber and it is a custom one. The style used is similar to the one you showed me. Please see attached.

previous versions of the drawings were working fine until we run an Audit command on this mentioned drawing. then the chambers/structures becomes invisible. I think the Audit command is breaking the link or clearing an internal table (deleting it). We managed to go back to earliest backup files and recovered it again then we could see the structures in Isometric views.

In this case, we were fortunate not to lose much data when recovering it from an earlier version of the file. To be honest it is frustrating. If this happen again, is there a way to repair broken internal links?

Kind Regards

Sileshi

Hi @sileshi.tesema

Thank you for letting me know. I can't confirm why AUDIT unlinks the custom structure, and what really happened.
Based on the understanding there might be some corruption in the Pipe Network.

Have you tried to regenerate part catalog (PARTCATALOGREGEN command) and/or swapping structure parts?

Regards,
Wojtek

Make sure that in the structure style go to the "DISPLAY" tab. In that tab select "Model" and make sure the appropriate items are turned on.
