STARTUP variable

When I try to initiate this variable, I get unknown command.

Can anyone else verify this and provide a solution?

There is no aecstartup variable in civil 3d.  there's a startup one tho.  Is that what you are after?  What is your desired result from changing it?

In 2019, when I type in STARTUP in automatically switches to AECSTARTUP.
It does not do that in 2018

Use STARTUP, not AECSTARTUP.

Again, what is your desired result from changing the variable?  What does the 2019 help file say about aecstartup?

I suspect the reason it returns 'aecstartup' when you enter startup is because of Autodesk's tendency to change the format every other release.  #Grrrr  Just my theory.

Do you mean OLESTARTUP, and not AECSTARTUP?

I see what's happening. This happened to me before. It's trying to use Screencast as startup. I had to uninstall/reinstall Screencast. I think this happened to me because I had Screencast installed prior to installing 2019.

I tried that to no avail.
Ended up resetting my profile.
That took care of it.
