Staggered projected object label similar to grade breaks

I was curious if anyone here has ever tried to make a label style for objects projected to profiles (in my case just cogo points) that can stagger somewhat like the way grade breaks can stagger?

I have been asked to stagger my projected point labels this way and have not yet had much success. 

In my attached screenshot, I want my points on the right look like the grade breaks on the left if possible.

Set your label dragged state to As Composed, then click and drag to space the labels as desired. Unlike how Corridor Points are all grouped together, projected object are individual so there is no automatic way to stagger the labels.
