Stage Storage empty when clicking Define Surface.

Hello

I have 3 basins that I've drawn using Gradings, I've changed the Surface Style to just show User Defined Contours and then I'm trying to use Stage Storage to calculate the volumes. However everytime I click Define and try to use my basinsurface to get the volume it's just empty. I've tried turning on/off other kinds of contours lines but that doesn't help either.

Do any of you have a suggestion? Is the file corrupt or have I made an error in my approach?

Explode your FLs to polylines. Use the polyline method.

@wfberry Appreciate the reply, and I know this is a possible solution. I just don't get why that is needed as it hasn't generally been an issue before. It also adds more steps to do when changing your pond/basin design, which isn't that desirable in general.

I very seldom use Gradings.  Have they worked before?  I normally use the Tin Surface and make my basin.

I was unsuccessful in getting the stage storage tools to work on your surface. I even tried setting the surface style to displaying contours and the automated extraction of the contours as polylines didn't work. I manually extracted the contours prior to running the tool and I was able to get it to work. Don't know why it's not working.

They've worked just fine previously (and on other .dwg basins I've drawn which is the weird bit), when I do the Gradings it creates the TIN Surface as well, and using Stage Storage on that surface has always worked.
Just recently another colleague of mine started having issues with using Stage Storage on Graded basins as well, so unsure if there has been an update or something which changed how it functions.

I think I will change my approach then and create some fixed horizontal surfaces and use the Volume dashboard instead to get a more dynamic volume calculation.
