Civil 3d dont make ACAD file

Hi. When I convert a Civil 3D file to an ACAD file, the surface remains and the surface profile also. Not converted to poly lines. what to do?

If you are using the Export Civil 3D, consider the Export to AutoCAD DXF Format instead.

How do you convert your Civil file? Do you use the ExportToAutoCAD command or the newer and recommended ExportC3DDrawing command?
