Civil3D 2018 and TIFF / TFW file

I have received a TIFF and TFW file of a building elevation. I am trying to bring it into Civil3D at the correct scale but cannot find a way for Civil3D to take the georef information from the TFW file and apply it to the TIFF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is you drawing set to the system designated in the TFW file? (This is just a text file that can be opened in notepad to determine location/zone)

Have you tried using MAPIINSERT, that's the command to insert georeferenced images or you can use an FDO connection from the MAP TASK PANE, just depends on your needs.

Hi Kevin,
The TFW file consists of 6 lines:
Line 1: x-component of the pixel width (x-scale)
Line 2: y-rotation (y-skew)
Line 3: x-rotation (x-skew)
Line 4: y-component of the pixel height (y-scale), typically negative
Line 5: x-coordinate of the center of the image's upper left pixel
Line 6: y-coordinate of the center of the image's upper left pixel
Let's see what you've got. Please zip together and post your drawing and the 2 image files.

Thank you for the detailed explanation of the TFW contents. The TFW file I received was corrupt / contained values that didn't make sense.

I have now received the TIFF & TFW files with correct values and they import okay.
