SSM opens every file

Is there any way stop SSM from opening each file when i publish to pdf?

Would speed things up I hope.

Maybe it's been fixed in recent versions but one downfall to background plotting is that autocad/civil3d is unable to cancel a publish job once it is going (and you can't send anymore plot jobs until CAD is restarted). I've had much more success with background plotting off in recent years to eliminate the previous statement and other issues encountered. I just go for a coffee, check stocks etc. it doesn't take more than 10-15min to plot 50-100 drawings. If it is, there's an underlying issue.

Thanks guys. I remember in an earlier version that switching to plot in background took longer. Was hoping it had improved.
