SSA - Nodes for Pipe Fittings?

Hi there!

I'm working on building a storm sewer model in SSA 2021, and there are several places in my pipe network where we have storm lines tying into a pipe directly via wye or tee connection (read: not at an inlet or storm manhole), but I'm not sure how to model this correctly. In my pipe network on C3D, these points are in the drawing as null structures, but in SSA, all of these nodes are shown as junctions, just as I've got all of my structures. The problem with this is that the junction behaves like a standard structure with a rim/grate, and rather than have flows back up further into the system, it wants to overtop the "structure" and pond at the surface. Furthermore, anywhere I have a bend or a fitting proposed in my pipe (also in C3D as a null structure), it's shown as the same junction part in SSA. Is there a way to remove this "rim" or maybe insert a bend into the pipe a la StormCAD? I'm still finding my bearings in this program, so I'm certainly grateful for any/all advice.

Thanks!
