SSA - hide Pipe Name in labels

Hi

Is there a setting in SSA which allows you to turn of the pipe network names in the labels. When Civil3d writes the file it appends the name of the civil3d network which if long i.e a street name then all the labels in ssa overlap and you can not read them see attached picture.

Have not found a setting but noticed on a co workers pc that he did not have the network name in SSA he had done the export to a . stm file while I had done an export to landxml and then import into SSA.

Been a while - but no setting.  Its there to keep networks "separate" for Civil 3D reimport.

Civil 3D cannot handle two structures with the same name in the same network while SSA does not understand the "network" concept.

Two very different ways of thinking about pipes which makes it very difficult to make them work together smoothly.

Yes long time between posts been busy land development wise for a while now and see you have moved on. I see a lot of the earlier adopters do not post as much guessing they are busy actually building stuff too.

Anyway no setting as you mentioned but the export through .stm file worked for me and even when I had two networks in the same model was ok if the names of the junctions were different.

Justin -

I may have LandXML network name and STM name issues swapped with SSA.

Moved on - yes. Currently with Innovyze working on xpswmm and ICM where this isn’t an issue.
