Sortable Connected Pipe Invert Elevation to Structure Labels

Currently, Civil 3D provides the property Connected Pipe Invert Elevation for Structure Label Styles.
This property outputs multiple values but is implemented as a scalar, which prevents:

  • Sorting by invert elevation
  • Controlling order (ascending / descending)
  • Applying delimiters consistently

This makes it impossible to label connected pipe inverts highest to lowest.

Connected Pipes – Invert Elevations (Collection)

This property should support:

  • Pipe Selection (All / Incoming / Outgoing)
  • Sort By (Invert Elevation)
  • Order (Ascending / Descending)
  • Delimiter (newline, comma, etc.)

Is anyone aware of a work around besides splitting label by pipe direction and creating two text components:

  • Incoming pipe invert(s)
  • Outgoing pipe invert

OR by exploding label??

Thank you in advance.

The SincPac has that option to Sort Connected Pipes which adjust labels to sort as well. Yes, it costs and is an add-on but will do what you are wanting. Loaded with TONS of other features.

Pipes in structure labels are sorted by the order the pipes were created in the drawing.  It's not ideal, but you can control the order they're listed in the label by creating the pipes in that specific order.

For some reason, I thought I remembered it being the order the pipes were attached to the structure, but I just tested in C3D 2024, and that wasn't working like I remembered.
